“Riding high on a pegasus, ain’t no more second guessin’ shit!”

After first collaborating with each other on the BBALL SNKRS track, Drogotdoe & 9henom are putting the world on notice with their collab album “Take Da Globe”. The album kicks off with the high energy track “Crazy Baby” featuring 7spellz & Moreniké. Off rips Dro brings a fast flow that gets you hype. 9henom killed it with his vocals, taking a different approach to the song than I expected. 7spellz comes through on some chill shit to add another dimension to the track. I liked how Moreniké’s verse comes off as a continuation of the hook Dro already established.

“Onlyfans (Loot)” is one of my favorite tracks from 2021. The Giallo Soundtrack sample featured on the beat had me instantly. It was really dope to see Dro & 9henom go back and forth on their verses, showing off their chemistry as a duo. Def need some visuals for this joint. By far one of my most played songs is “Drugz”. This could possibly be Dro’s best hook to date, it’s been stuck in my head ever since they dropped the snippet. 9henom hits you with a bunch of different styles vocally adding to the drugged out vibe of the song. As always Kushh Newton killed it on production, just adding more classics to his prolific catalogue.

“All Cap” is on some triumphant shit. Whenever someone hits me with some bullshit now, in my head all I think is “That’s All Cap!”. 9henom killed it on the hook, and he had a really solid verse. Dro had a bunch of quotables on the track, like “We been going hard like an alcoholic”.  The one that started it all “BBALL SNKRS” featuring Mary-O James is on some 90s West Coast shit. We are cruising through the Tampa night with 9henom and Dro but it’s in an Impala. 9henom’s flow on the track added a different aspect to the track, especially with the way he does his vocals. Mary-O James adds to the West Coast vibe with his laid back flow.

“Fast Money Millionaires” is that flex shit. Brb Buddah kicks things off with his verse. 9henom and Dro go back and forth with their verses on the track, bringing some of the hardest bars I have heard in a min. It was really dope how 9henom & Dro’s verses felt connected with that hands on the wheel line. That beat is on another level. “Hercules (Close 2 Me)” featuring Brb Buddah is on some laid back vibes. Dro’s verse is a little more subdued than usual but it was a nice change up. 9henom brought a more sped up flow with his verse.

“The Flow” featuring Ok Tav & Zizi Lakeboy is another standout track for me. I love the way the beat comes in. Every artist has more than one flow on the track which was a really dope take, almost feeling like there was a part 1 and part 2. Dro killed it with the hook, it was a vibe when it came back in at the end. Would be dope to see some visuals for this joint down the road.  The project ends on a more uplifting note with “It’s Okay” featuring Shi & Doomsday Sunset. I really liked the playful hook on this one, I just pictured sunshine and flowers when I jammed this one.

“Take Da Globe '' landed at No.4 on my Top Albums of 2021 list but it’s impact I feel will be much greater as time goes on. DroGotDoe & 9henom are two of my favorite artists in general, combining all the artistic elements they both possess without stepping on each other’s toes sonically.
